1. Introduction

New Thinking Progressive Impact Initiative (NTPI) is committed to protecting the health, well-being, and human rights of all individuals we interact with, particularly vulnerable adults and children, enabling them to live free from harm, abuse, and neglect.

2. Core Principles

• Empowerment: Supporting people to make their own decisions and giving them informed consent.
• Prevention: It is better to take action before harm occurs.
• Proportionality: The least intrusive response appropriate to the risk presented.
• Protection: Support and representation for those in greatest need.
• Partnership: Local solutions through services working with their communities.
• Accountability: Accountability and transparency in delivering safeguarding.

3. Scope and Application

This policy applies to all NTPI Initiative staff, volunteers, partners, and contractors. Everyone associated with our organization has a responsibility to promote a safe environment and report any concerns regarding the safety of individuals.

4. Reporting Procedures

If you have any concerns regarding safeguarding, or suspect that an individual is at risk of abuse or neglect, you must report it immediately to our designated Safeguarding Officer or through our confidential reporting channels.
